i am tryign to let Mies in on the finer aspecs of brewing. proving to her that's IT is as easy as 'simply tossing in any fermentables, add yeast, leave, bottle, drink'. 

she insists that we should be striving for taste, not just brewing for the sake of letting yeast break down sugar, and us enjying the bubbling sound as all the escape CO2 causes the vapor lock to boil.

Meisje called us while we were driving back to Adelaide. As I repeated to him all the stuff she said you guys put in, I thought he was going to explode. The moment she said 'champagne yeast" I knew hishead was going to boil.

he seems to think i care... *grin*

this was about teaching mies the basics not about 'a true and correct period approach to brewing as done by some 14C yorkshireman' so it used what we had in the cupboard.

he can deal.
